Lately, my skin has been looking so much more healthy. I credit this to getting older and taking better care of my skin and how it looks and feels. I’ve had moderate to severe acne, more recently cystic acne, since I was about 11. My skin is still in no way perfect, but it is so much better than it was even last year. (I also want to preface this by saying that I have combination skin.)
My morning routine is super simple. I just wash my face and moisturize before putting any kind of makeup on.
My night routine is slightly more intensive, but it’s still super simple and quick.
I take off all my makeup with a makeup removing wipe (I find brand doesn’t matter, as long as I get the majority of my makeup off).
I then use this Garnier clay cleanser/mask, alternating between using it as a cleanser and as a mask. This is the product I credit as saving my skin from breaking out.
After washing off the cleanser/mask, I use this Neutrogena toner to make sure all my makeup is completely gone and to calm my skin down.
I’ve been prescribed two different topical acne medications, which I also use every night, just alternating between the two.
Once all this has been done, I apply moisturizer again and head off to bed.
Again, this routine has been working for me for the past couple of months on my combination/acne prone skin. It’s a pretty quick and simple way to make sure my skin is the best it can be. I wish that I had this routine years ago, so I hope this helps anyone with skin problems like mine!
